Base on the previous work, we further studied the effect of the counterion ion in inorganic acids to porphyrin micro- and nanostructures. and this different structures were characterized by SEM, UV-vis, IR and XRD. This results showed porphyrin molecules were aggregated as one dimension rod-like structure in hydrochloric acid; two dimension girdle-like structure in nitrate; but regular porphyrin aggregates can’t be fromed in sulfuric acid. the reason is relation to counterion ion radius of inorganic acids, coordination ability.
