Angle class Ⅱ malocclusion is prevailing. Enhancement of mandibular growth and amelioration in esthetics are the goals of orthodontic treatment. Recently, considerable success has been achieved in the studies about the advantages, late treatment effects, and anchorage control of stepwise mandibular advancement in the treatment of Angle class Ⅱ malocclusion.
