Skeletal class Ⅲ malocclusion is a formidable problem for orthodontists and there are disputes about the treatment for a long time. There are many methods in treating this kind of malocclusion whose treating juncture
is flexible and the results are not always the same. The reason is the multiformity of etiological factor of skeletal class Ⅲ malocclusion and the feature of patient′s growth and development. Nevertheless, different methods
make different influence on the patients. This article reviewed the current state of knowledge as regards the influence of several kinds of orthodontic methods on craniofacial shape of skeletal class Ⅲ patients.
