The osseointegration and aesthetic effect of implant could be affected by“the cuff”of peri-implant tissues, width of attached gingival, the labial contour and the condition of gingival papilla. Free gingival graft, pedicle gingival graft, autologous cultural mucosal graft, allograft dermal matrix and forced orthodontic eruption can expand the attached gingival of peri-implant tissues. The aesthetic zone always has sufficient attached gingival, but its whole aesthetic effect may be affected by the morphology of the soft tissue and height of the gingival papilla. The aesthetics of implant-supported prothetics can be implemented by incisive design of soft tissue, guided custom
temporary crown or papilla regeneration technique and flapless implant technique in aesthetic area.
