Dental implants have been widely used in clinical practice. Because their survival and success rate are getting higher, a lot of patients would choose the implant-supported restorations to replace their missed teeth. As people are aspiring after beauty, more and more patients and their dentists would focus on the esthetic outcomes of implant-supported restorations in anterior region. But for the affecting factors and assessment of the esthetic outcomes of the implant-supported restorations, the consensus has not been reached yet. Therefore, it was the purpose of this article to review some affecting factors and methods for evaluating esthetic outcomes, which was being used in clinical study.
