Oral squamous cell carcinoma as oral and maxillofacial common cancer in the types of cancer, its sequence treatment mainly to surgery has increasingly mature. But the changes of oral ecosystem during the treatment
are often overlooked. This article discussed the impact of the factors of the oral ecosystem and the changes of oral ecosystem during the sequence treatment, so as to provide the relevant theoretical basis about the local oral medication, oral care during the radiotherapy, design and material selection of the prosthesis to various stages of patients, with a review to guide patients with safeguarding of oral environment and to improve the patients′qualities of life long time after surgery.
