Objective To discuss the clinical effects and characteristics of 2×4 corrective technique applied in correcting the anterior crossbite during the mixed dentition. Methods The 2×4 corrective technique and biteplate of posterior upper teeth as well as Class Ⅲ elastic force was applied to correct the anterior crossbite of mixed dentition. Results This method was able to correct the anterior crossbite and also to reduce the time of treatment and to spare the frequency of seeing the doctor again. Conclusion 2 ×4 corrective technique is an effective method of correcting the anterior crossbite during the mixed dentition and is valuable to spread.
