Dental prosthetic restoration usually takes its function for years in vivo. It has a fairly large potential abrasion. The function of abrasion among materials plays a significant part in long- term application of dental prosthetic restorations, which has an essential effect on prosthetic effect of dental prosthetic replacements. So abradability is one of the important factors to choose prosthetic material. This article is a brief introduction about the abrasion mechanism and its evaluation method for dental materials besides abroad- applied abrasion test machines.
