Small integrin-binding ligand N-linked glycoprotein family(SIBLING) is a group of proteins which is mainly expressed in tooth and bone tissue. It’s gene possesses common structure of exon and intron and influences the proliferation and differentiation of cells. The predominant members of SIBLING family at present contain osteopontin, bonesialoprotein, dentin sialophosphoprotein, dentin matrix protein-1, matrix extracellular phosphoglycoprotein, enamelin and so on. This is a review of the research progress in SIBLING in tooth develepment.
