With the development of restorative technology and all ceramic materials, all -ceramic fixed partial denture(FPD) was gradually selected by dentists and patients who desired for metal free restoration. Owing to the brittleness of these materials, all -ceramic FPD tended to fracture. This limited their wide application in prosthodontics.
