VNP20009, an attenuated strain of Salmonella typhimurium with low toxicity, selectively replicates in solid tumors and has intrinsic anti-tumor activity. VNP20009 is a promising tumor-targeting vector in gene therapy of tumors. Therapeutic effect will be enhanced by combination of VNP20009 therapy and other cancer therapies.
