Immediate implantation as a new type of concept was studied and discussed by many scholars and clinicians. It has the advantages of short time of treatment, decrease damnification in the surgery and avoid bone resorption after teeth exaction. But there were always bone defects around implants, and it was considered as one of the key factors affecting the successful rate of immediate implantation. How to deal with the bone defect gap, if bone augmentation should be needed, and which material could be used? Different scholars have different views. So this paper summarized different treatments of bone defect gap around implant in immediate implantation.
