Epithelial cell junction plays an important role in maintaining normal physiological function and resisting microbial invasion. In this paper, epithelial cell junction’s type, location, structure, function; relationships between abnormal expression of epithelial cell junction proteins and certain diseases; researches on non -oral pathogenic bacterium in epithelial cell junction and the studies of oral pathogenic bacterium in epithelial cell junction are reviewed.
