Objective To evaluate clinical effect of combination indirect and direct resin restorations in the defective of endodontical treated molars. Methods A total of 212 endodontical treated molars were selected and randomly divided into two groups. Group A was restored with the indirect resin blocks and dual cure resin filled bonding, group B was restored with the traditional composite fillings. All the restorations were evaluated with United States Public Health Service criterions after 6 months and 18 months treatment. Results After 6 months, the two groups’successful rates of restorations were no significant difference(P>0.05). After 18 months, the successful rate of group A and group B were 88.7%(86/97) and 75.0%(72/96) respectively. There was significant difference( P<0.05). Conclusion The indirect restoration was able to avoid adverse factors of resin direct filling, and improve the effect of resin restoration and suited to defects of endodontical treated molars.
