Objective To investigate the method of keeping patients’residual molar roots with curved root canals restored by many posts of porcelain-fused-to-metal crown. Methods Restored the residual molar roots with curved root canals by many posts of porcelain-fused-to-metal crown. Results 41 extensively damaged molars with curved root canals in 33 patients have been treated by many posts of porcelain-fused-to-metal crown since 2005, and during a 3-year follow-up study, the successful rate is 85.4%. Conclusion It is a simple and effective method to restored extensively damaged molars with curved root canals by many posts of porcelain-fused-tometal crown, but we must master the indications strictly, operate carefully and adopt measures to reduce occlusal force.
