Recently, cone -beam computed tomography(CBCT) has become an important image technique for dento-maxilla facial applications, and it provides three-dimensional information with high resolution. Many research shows that CBCT measurements compared well to traditional radiography; compared with the standard medical CT, cost and dose are lower, which help it win wide attention in dental practice. Moreover, the accuracy and reliability for measuring different structures is still a hot research area. This review presented the accuracy and reliability of CBCT in oral maxillofacial linear measurements.
