Root fracture is one of the common complications after endodontic treatment. It’s demonstrated that excessive root canal preparation, the stress caused by canal obturation and even the medication used in the therapy may lead to root fracture directly or indirectly. In order to make a more reasonable choice, decreasing the iatrogenic factors of root fracture, a review about the relationship between root canal therapy and root fracture was written.
