Dental follicle precursor cells(DFPC) are reported to be a kind of dental-derived stem cells with self renewal and multiple-direction differential potential. DFPC which belong to mesenchymal stem cells can be inducted to fibroblast-like, osteoblast/cementoblast-like, adipocyte-like and neurocyte-like cells. This paper aimed to summarize the culture, identification and differentiation of DFPC, as well as the comparison between DFPC and stem cells from exfoliated deciduous teeth.
