Objective To investigate the rework rates of dental prosthesis under different conditions and explore the factors affecting rework rates, in order to reduce rework rates, and help improve production efficiency. Methods 15 980 dental prosthesis records were collected and rework rates were compared under different group divided by production type, model classification, and so on. Data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0. Results There were 1 366 rework prosthesis out of 15 980 records, the rework rate was 8.55%. Grouped by production type, rework rate of fixed denture was 10.35%, while removable denture was 6.10%. Grouped by model quality, the fourth model of fixed denture group had the highest rework rate as 12.77%. In addition, rework rate of try-in group was 4.19%, while non-try -in group was 8.69%. Chi -square tests showed P
