With the rapid progress of digital camera and computer technology, digital photography offers significant benefits to dental practices, especially to cosmetic dentistry, providing a powerful tool for diagnosis and treatment planning. Digital dental photography requires the combined knowledge of dentistry, computer technology and photography. To obtain qualified dental images, the practitioner needs a basic understanding of computer science and standard photography for proper utilization.
