Facial attractiveness(FA) has a focus of research of psychologists, anthropologists, sociologists, dental surgeons, and scientists in recent years. This review covers history and methods in facial attractiveness and general patterns in facial preferences. Average, symmetry, hair length and quality, skin texture, color, and age influence FA. Several hypotheses have been proposed for FA. Using modern technology and research models will help us better understand FA in the future.
