Resin composites have been widely used in restorative dentistry now. However, secondary caries and bulk fracture are still the main challenges facing composite restorations. In recent years, restorative composites incorporating antibacterial nanoparticles are widely studied in dental science, for they have antibacterial activity and good mechanical properties. This review focuses on the process of researches on antibacterial nanoparticles in resin composites.
