The invisalign system has become increasingly popular for orthodontic treatment in the clinic since the 1990s. This system is favored by domestic and international orthodontists and patients because of its aesthetics, comfort, convenience, and predictable efficacy. This article reviewed the recent studies on the rationale and biomechanics of the invisalign system to provide useful information for the further improvement of orthodontic care.
