Objective Analyze the appearance of anterior fenestration and the influence of orthodontic treatment. Methods Thirty cases of normal occlusion and 90 cases of osseous malocclusion patients were scanned by cone beam computed tomography(CBCT), and the related datas were analyzed. Results Fenestration was occurred more frequently in the mandible, the most common position is the lateral incisor. In general, the highest incidence is in skeletal Class Ⅱmalocclusion, and skeletal Class Ⅲ malocclusion is at lowest; skeletal Class Ⅰ is no significant difference with normal occlusion. Conclusion Effects of the fenestration should be payed attention to in the orthodontic treatment.
