Objective To observe and evaluate 3-year clinical effect of all ceramic crowns bonded with 2 types of resin cement. Methods 218 all ceramic crowns (E.MAX) from 154 patients were selected. A self-etch resin cement-PANAVIA F and a self-adhesive resin cement-Rely X Unicem were used to bond all ceramic crown with abutment, and the surfaces of abutments were pretreated by ED-Primer before using PANAVIA F. The inner surfaces of all ceramic crowns were pretreated by silane coupling agent before cementation. Survive rates of 3-year follow-up were calculated according to the fracture/debond number of crowns bonded with each resin cement. Results Survive rates of crowns bonded with PANAVIA F and Rely X Unicem were irrespectively 97.5%, and 96.0%. And debonded cases were the posterior abutments with large composite resin restoration. Conclusion The bond of E.MAX all ceramic crowns by either PANAVIA F or Rely X Unicem demonstrated satisfactory 3-year clinical performance.
