Computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing(CAD/CAM) has been widely used in implantology for a long time. The rapid development and improvement of such method have broadened the scope of prosthetic implant treatments and brought profound changes to the implantology industry. Compared with casting alloy framework, CAD/CAM milled titanium framework has the advantages of precision, aesthetics and passive fit, time efficiency, and simplicity of procedure. The application of CAD/CAM milled titanium framework in the implant-supported fixed rehabilitation of edentulous patients was reviewed.
