Exosomes secreted by various types of cells are small vesicular bodies that contain many types of proteins and RNAs. They have multiple functions, such as anti-tumor immunity and angiogenesis. Their possible use as oral disease biomarkers and vaccine candidates was also discussed. This review presents recent advances in exosomes and the relationship with oral diseases.
