Objective To evaluate the effects of recombinant human platelet-derived growth factor(rhPDGF)-BB and recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor(rh-bFGF) by combined usage on the proliferation of PDLCin vitro. Methods Periodontal ligament cell(PDLC) were cultured by tissue explant culture-combined enzyme digestion technique. Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay and flow cytometry were used to detect the effects of combined
usage of rhPDGF-BB and rh-bFGF on the proliferation and proliferation index(PrI) of PDLC. Results The optimal concentration was rhPDGF-BB(10 μg·L-1) adding rh-bFGF(10 μg·L-1) and the optimal day was the 3rd day. Conclusion The synergistic effect of PDGF-BB and bFGF can significantly promote the proliferation of human
PDLC.
