Smiling is the natural flow of the emotion when one is happy. Attractive smiling is becoming one of the treatment goals of orthodontists. How to make the patients have most confident, attractive smiling is the focus issue of numerous orthodontists nowadays. There are many factors affecting smiling esthetics, including horizontal, vertical, temporal aspects. To get the patients with attractive smiling, various factors need to be investigated. The literatures about frontal smiling esthetics in orthodontic clinic was reviewed in this article.
