There are more and more researches on periodontal medicine in the field of periodontology. With the research progress, it is known that there is a close relationship between periodontal inflammation and system diseases.
Therefore, whether the periodontal treatment can affect system diseases becomes an interesting question. Several studies suggest that periodontal treatment is good for system diseases, and the mechanism may be that periodontal treatment changes the body condition. This article reviewed the research progress on the influence of periodontal treatment to system diseases.
