Objective To observe the therapeutic results of complete coronal restoration after internal fixation conducted over the fractured molars. Methods 38 cases of molar vertical fractures were subjected to root canal therapy after outer steel wire ligation had been done, following which internal fixation and fluid resin infilling were both conducted, and finally, completed coronal restoration was made in the hope of finding out the clinical healing efficacy in contrast with the factors like molar position, the fracture direction, and the time of clinical treatment. Results Clear difference of success ratio observed between the restoration of the upper and lower molar fractures. Conclusion Not only factors like the closeness of crack, the reset position of the split molars, the tightness of fixation and time of clinical treatment, but also the position of the molar fracture and the direction of the crack line as well exert a significant influence upon the restoration effects, and molar vertical fractures with injury have bad results.
