Among whom, 11 were male and 4 were female, with ages from 11 to 38 years old. 9 cases were maxillary dentigerous cysts and the others were mandibular dentigerous cysts. All the patients were treated by suction drainage. Clinical symptoms and radiography findings were evaluated 3 and 6 months after suction drainage. Results Facial deformities were disappeared after duration of suction drainage for 3 to 6 months and jaw defect lesions were restored completely 6 to 12 months after the curettage operations. Among all 15 patients, total eruption of the permanent teeth were found in 2 cases, 50% eruption in 1 case and imminent eruption in another case. Conclusion The method of suction drainage was effective in the treatment of jaw dentigerous cyst. It could decrease the cystic size and correct the deformity caused by jaw dentigerous cyst more quickly.
