In view of the difficulty and high cost of quality control of electroplating diamond wire, an off line surface quality inspection system based on machine vision was developed for the first time. This paper introduces the structure and composition of the diamond wire quality inspection system, and describes in detail the implementation of the algorithms used to evaluate the diamond wire quality. Finally, according to the design and production of real objects and testing, the results show that the calculation accuracy of the cutting edge rate is 93.2%, the calculation accuracy of the cutting edge height is 95.6%, which meets the requirements of quality testing and evalua.
