Tooth agenesis is a common phenomenon of tooth number abnormity. Non-syndromic tooth agenesis is the tooth development process without other systemic syndromes of tooth agenesis. Previous studies mainly focused on the genes. However, the pathogenesis of non-syndromic tooth agenesis is few and scattered. This article provides a summary regarding the pathogenesis of non-syndromic tooth agenesis.
