To investigate the effect and feasibility of different treatment method in urban flood inundation simulation, four methods of solid wall for building representation, two dimensions topography building representation, local friction based representation of building, and two dimensions shallow water equations with plot ratio were summarized. Then, a simulated urban complex construction example was established. Finally, the results of the four methods were comparied. The results indicated that the effect of solid wall for building representation method is best, but it requires complicated data processing and high computational cost. The reasonable effect could be obtained by the method of two dimensions shallow water equations with plot ratio with simple data processing and low computational cost.
