OpenFresco platform is an important way to realize the hybrid simulation process, and the test duration is a key factor for hybrid simulation. The duration of the hybrid simulation is divided into three parts: the calculation duration, the communication duration, and the loading duration. In this paper, a one-story one-bay frame is selected as the prototype structure. A steel column specimen designed for multiple tests is adopted as the experimental substructure. Furthermore, the factors affecting the hybrid simulation duration are studied in detail from experiment results. It can be concluded that the integration method, the model complexity, and the ramptime are the main factors affecting the hybrid simulation duration. According to the test results of different integration methods, model complexity, and ramptime, the relationship between test duration and test accuracy is obtained through comparison.
