In this study, Wenchuan Wolong seismic wave, etc. were selected, and the shake table test on ‘tie column + ring beam + cast-in-place slab’ recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) masonry structure was conducted. Not only the dynamic characteristics of structure, but also the damping ratio, frequency changes and the top floor displacement of the model under intensity 8 of frequently occurred, basic and seldom occurred earthquake were tested. On the basis of test results, the model’s maximum drift angle under three occurrences was respectively less than the allowable value of earthquake resistant structure suggested by the Code for Seismic Design of Buildings. Tiny cracks were found on the wall, however it showed RAC masonry structure constrained by ‘tie column + ring beam’ system exhibited good seismic behavior and can resist the earthquake action under each level of fortification intensity in the location. It is concluded that RAC masonry structures can be promoted in the earthquake hit-area reconstruction.
