In order to research structural seismic damage performances of long-span fly-swallow type concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge under traveling wave effect, an arch bridge with a 280 main span was taken as a bridge sample. Seismic records of the Chi-Chi earthquake in Taiwan were taken as ground motion samples. The numerical analysis was adopted to study the seismic damage of the bridge sample under the ground motion samples. In order to make the traveling wave effect more obvious on the bridge sample, near-fault earthquake records with long-periodic pulse were selected as ground motion samples. The research result shows that the seismic design requirement is met under the identical support seismic excitation; the seismic resistance regulation’ No Damage With Weak Earthquake’ is not satisfied under multi-support seismic excitation. In a word the bridge damage increase about 21% included in the traveling wave effect.
