Mobile phone with limited system resources, if Tibetan Unicode coding is directly used, and the assembling method is adopted to generate Tibetan character, the time complexity of system processing will greatly increase, therefore, a new Tibetan coding rule for mobile phone based on analysis of Tibetan character and Tibetan Unicode coding, as well as use index technology was presented. Mobile phone keyboard keys are limited, one-on-one arrangement for Tibetan alphabet can not be carried out, so that a scientific mobile phone keyboard layout that utilizes Tibetan grammar and index technology was designed on limited keyboard keys. A Tibetan SMS coding and decoding methods that corresponds to Tibetan coding rule for mobile phone was devised.
