In this article, according to the characteristics of the comprehensive ultilization reservoirs and the water users, a multi objective optimization mathematical model for comprehensive ultilization of reservoirs is established, and the method based on group decision making theory for solving this model is presented. The method transfers the multi objective optimization into a number of single models constituting the no inferior solution set of the model, and then obtains the best satisfied solution from the no inferior solution set with group decision making theory.The model and the method were applied in the optimal operation of ZiPingPu reservoir in Sichuan, and the results are satisfactory.
