To better apply FEA technologies in rapid product development, viewing on the design process knowledge reusing, a knowledge fusion based method is worked out to analyze and optimize product structure. The dynamic analyzing process template is brought into design activity, which can be used to optimize product solution for more developers, and to parameterize the product modeling, meshing and analyzing. Therefore, the product developing knowledge and optimizing method of enterprises can be accumulated constantly by themselves. This method is applied to develop some kind of straight bevel gear in differential case. First, the stress concentration area is found, and the unreasonable expanding mechanism is corrected. Second, the design of bevel gear is optimized to improve the carrying capacity of base. Then the fracture failure rate would be cut down. From experiments, the results show that this method makes for popularizing application of FEA technologies at the higher lever among in all developers.
