Abstract:The most important mission in the field of the computer vision is how to improve the precision of the camera’s scaling and how to simplify the process.For this purpose, a new method to calibrate the camera’s all the interior and exterior parameters using at least 4 directions vanishing points and 2 calibratinon points is brought forward.It only needs one image of the template which is devised in this paper.Then use Hough transform to detect lines in the image and further locate the vanishing points in each directions; use camera-calibrating equations which are brought up in the paper with the positions of the vanishing points to resolve the camera’s implicit parameters matrix; finally divide the matrix into the camera’s interior and exterior parameters according to the matrix’s characteristic and accomplish the calibration.Compared with other calibrating ways,this method is more facility and precise.
