In order to evaluate the function of CbPLDβ on cold tolerance of Chorispora bungeana, CbPLDβ was constructed into vector PBI121. The plant expression vectors PBI121-CbPLDβ were then transferred into tobacco using Agrobacterium-mediated transformation method. Transgenic tobacco lines were obtained after kanamycin screening and PCR detection. By low temperature experiments, the physiological and biochemical parameters were measured to study the cold resistance of CbPLDβ transgenic tobacco. The results showed that, the exogenous gene was integrated into the tobacco genome of transgenic tobacco plants; the electrolyte leakage of transgenic tobacco is generally lower than the wild-type tobacco, and the free proline content, soluble sugar and soluble protein content were higher than the wild-type tobacco. These indicated that CbPLDβ improved the cold tolerance of tobacco.
