苏珊.巴斯内特的文学翻译思想经历了文学翻译、文化翻译到翻译的文化研究的嬗变,其文学翻译思想包含了文学翻译的诗学研究和文学翻译的文化研究,表现了将文学翻译的内部研究和外部研究相结合的文化诗学精神。
