Children with ectodermal dysplasia representing absence of tooth and abnormal bone formation always suffer low masticatory function. These problems have an adverse influence in growth development and mental health. This article reviewed the new methods and advances of removable denture and implant denture for children with ectodermal dysplasia in recent years. The influence of these methods to retention, appearance and the development of jaws are compared in order to make us follow the evidence-based treatment.
