Immediate loading of implants provide immediate function and excellent esthetic outcome to the patients, as a result, it has become a hot research point in the recent years. According to most of the present reviews, it has been regarded to be not running a greater risk for implant failure nor implant complications in periodontally compromised patients compared to individuals without the history of periodontitis. With the development of the technique and material progress, immediate loading has been more and more used to treat for periodontally compromised patients and proved to be successful. According to the updated review, doctors associated immediate implant placement with immediate loading in periodontally compromised patients, to achieve the highest predictability and the most excellent esthetic outcome. This paper presented an overview of the research progress on immediate loading in periodontally compromised patients.
