Based on the test of eight masonry walls under low cycle reversed loading, the seismic performances of strengthened unreinforced masonry walls by BFRP were analyzed from multi-angle,mainly including the hysteretic curve, energy dissipation capability and damage. Then the design formula of the BFRP strengthened damaged and non-damaged masonry walls was given, and the results showed that the theoretical values are in good agreement with the experimental results. The experimental results showed that the BFRP strengthening technique can effectively postponed the development of cracks, increase the capacity of deformation and load-carrying,and the masonry walls’integrity and energy dissipation properties can also gain a significant improvement.
