Wenchuan Earthquake, which occurred on May 12, 2008 in Sichuan Province of China, has the characteristic of high earthquake magnitude, great intensity, wide area and serious disaster. The secondary mountain hazards caused heavy casualties, serious property damage, and the emergency rescue system of roads and transportation blocked. Xuankou Wenchuan section of Dujiangyan Wenchuan highway was selected to discuss the distribution of mountain hazards induced by “5·12” Wenchuan Earthquake. The different types and distribution rules of mountain hazards were extracted and analyzed by means of remote sensing technology and field observation. According to the survey of earthquake losses of hydropower projects in the minjiang river, the hazards pattern of landslide and debris flow to hydropower projects was analyzed. The thirty seven debris flow gullies along Minjiang River threaten the safety of the highway and bridges cross the gullies. The debris flow hazards assessment results showed that 16 were of high hazardousness, which would result in blocking of the main channel that possibly brought about flood in the downstream of the rive. In the end , the reduction countermeasures were given.
