英国殖民时期印度的鸦片生产与对华贸易

英国的对华鸦片贸易前后长达近一个半世纪之久,从十九世纪三十年代起该贸易迅速扩大。鸦片输入的扩大给中国政治、经济、社会带来十分严重的后果,对此国内学术界已作了深入详尽的研究。本文着重于考察英国的鸦片政策及印度的鸦片生产、输出状况,从另一角度探究十九世纪鸦片贸易扩大化的某些历史和社会原因。本文不拟分析贸易的全过程,除了为方便分析而作的某些整体论述外,时间上大致以十九世纪中叶为下限。
