In order to retain the color of snake skins to manufacture high quality leather, the historical of Python bivittatus skin and Elaphe carinata skin were reviewed at first, and then the leather making technology for making snake leather with nature color was developed based on the theories of leather making chemistry. In this work, the historical structure of snake skins, leather making technology analysis and making proccess were demonstrated in detail. The work would provide theoretical and practical references for manufacturing snake leathers with nature color and characters.
